Here you can find the different emulators you can use with your Keymmodore or Pimmodore.

remember you have to use the .vkm files for proper keyboard layout.

For PC

A C-64 Emulator for PC. Maybe old but works very well in old PCs too. Also no need for .vkm files

The famous and almost ubiquitous Commodore Computers Emulators. The obvious choice for the PC. Lots of options and models to emulate.

For Raspberry Pi

The perfect companion for you Keymmodore or Pimmodore Project. BMC64 is a bare metal fork of VICE’s C64 emulator optimized for the Raspberry Pi. It has 50hz/60hz smooth scrolling, low video/audio latency and a number of other features that make it perfect for building your own C64 replica machine. Not only emulates C-64 but also C-128, Plus/4, C-16, VIC-20 and PET.

Combian 64 is Raspberry Pi distribution able to boot your preferite Commodore machine in just few seconds.

It uses the brand new compiled version of Vice 3.4 to emulate all the Commodore Machines set.

By default, Combian 64 boots the Commodore 64 emulator, but it’s not the only one included in the distro.

RetroPie: The world famous platform for computers and consoles emulation in the R-Pi. Wit RetroPie you can emulate not only Commodore Computers but a lot of different systems. The good thing is you have a working keyboard to configure it!!! For emulators you need to configure it file according this link. Do not use the vkm from the Maxi-64. Use my Combian vkm files instead.

RecalBox: An excellent alternative to RetroPie. Same instructions than Retropie should work.
